Ryan M. Prendergast is currently an assistant teaching professor in the School of Music and the School of Drama at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He earned his Ph.D. in Theatre at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He previously taught at the University of Texas at Austin. His research involves the history of opera production with a specific focus on the life, career, and works of Richard Strauss.
